Eversheds merged with US firm Sutherland in order to add a needed global base to their practice. This firm is said to have one of the nicest partnerships around and a dedicated impetus on the wellbeing of the people within its walls. Initiatives such as bring your dog to work day have been welcomed as a needed relaxation of what has traditionally been a rather stuffy industry. Hours are not thought to be so bad, but of course are variable depending on the department in which you sit and the busyness of that department.

Taking 50 trainees each year and having an office in Manchester, this should be the dream for UoM candidates! Eversheds have a clever model in that they often corner the regional market with their offices around the country but also distribute their international work coming through the London office. The firm generally looks like a well oiled machine which is finding sustainability following the merger.

The regional work completed at Eversheds which affects all of us includes when the firm acted for Transport for Greater Manchester on the appointment of Metrolink to operate the trams. So technically, they’re to blame for the bellowing HONK! experienced whenever walking through town! Do with that what you will…
