This Higher Education provider allows you to practice as a solicitor in England. Following the completion of your LLB you will be required to complete the LPC (Legal Practice Course) in order to practice as a solicitor. If you are studying a non-law degree, you will have to complete the GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) before completing the LPC. Both of these are provided by the University of Law. They provide the option to complete the traditional LPC over one academic year or the accelerated course spanning just 6 months. Many law firms offer sponsorship and grants to complete these in order to be able to practice at their firm as a trainee. If becoming a barrister is your thing, the University of Law also provide the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC). The University of Law have centres all over the country (including Manchester) and you can complete your qualification exams at any of these (for different fees!).
